Toyota has let loose the new version of the Innova EV concept at the Jakarta International Motor Show in Indonesia. Though the Innova EV was shown at the event for the first time in 2022, the fresh design and expanded powertrain are the additional specifications of the new model.
Innova is a fully electric car that gets its energy from a 59.3kWh lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor delivering 179 horsepower (hp) and a maximum torque of 700Nm. The battery is suitable for AC and DC systems and it fits to be charged in these two ways since Toyota has not yet revealed the Innova EV’s maximum driving range.

Refreshed Exterior Design for 2025
The 2025 Innova EV concept upgrade is impressive as a result of a few design modifications in contrast to the diesel-powered Innova Crysta. Specifically, the front with the mainly obstructed part is evident due to the addition of the geometric headlights that touch the daylight running lights to LED light strips. The front bumper curves bring out the thinness of the fog lamps, while the Toyota badge on the rear is marked with an ‘e’.
Both sides feature larger 16-inch alloy wheels and a black roof and pillars with the rest of the area designed with blue and grey decals, making for a pretty dashing combination. The rear end is completed with a combination of the blue edge and translucent connected LED taillights on the sides where the “BEV” (Battery Electric Vehicle) logo is stated, and the trunk is clad in a “BEV” logo.
Spacious and Tech-Loaded Interior
The interior of the electric vehicle is practically a complete copy of the already amazing Innova Crysta. However, the electric vehicle-version car has been equipped with some unique EV options. The rear passengers will be able to stretch their legs well, thanks to the flat floor riding over the battery pack.
Electric blue transits exist in the gauges, there is a little second color upholstery, and the odd gear selector is not present. Mostly, the vehicle will have features that are associated with high-quality infotainment systems such as a large touchscreen, a leather-covered steering wheel, a premium sound system, and a multitude of seating options like captain seats in the second row, and abundant facilities.
On top of that, the wireless channel can charge your phone or let it be recharged in ambient lighting mode and also features rear parking sensors, which are rare in electric vehicles.
With these modifications, Toyota’s electric Innova is moving forward while maintaining the practicality and spaciousness that appeal to people. The EV concept showcases the company’s step towards an all-electric future while preserving the practicality and space that the Innova is always expected to offer.
